16 Aug Mission Hill Comes To Bear Mountain Friday

One of my favorite places to go for food experiences on Vancouver Island is the wine cellar on Bear Mountain in The Westin and they have an amazing Friday night coming up this week. Mission Hill is coming for a visit and will be pouring a vertical tasting of its famous Oculus Bordeaux-style wine, from their 2008 to 2012 vintages. Local wino’s will definitely know what that is but for those that don’t and love local wine, this even is definitely for you.

I don’t think any wine critic has had any thing bad to say about these wines, in fact quite the opposite. These are highly sought after and the chance to drink and enjoy some great cheese along with it in the Westin’s wine cellar is a recipe for a good time.

I’m sorry to bring the news a little last minute as the event takes place this Friday August 19th from 6-7:30pm. However, tickets are still available and if you’re looking for something to do this weekend I’d jump all over this. Tickets are $45 dollars per person and not only do you get to try this amazing wine, you get to experience it in one of my favorite Island spots up on Bear Mountain.
