04 Nov Huracán Spyder Unveiling at Lamborghini Vancouver
With the Huracan less than two years old, Lamborghini has surprised their fans at the Frankfurt Motor Show with the upcoming convertible Spyder version, set to hit the road next year. Lamborghini Vancouver was able to get one to show off and was nice enough to invite Geoff and I to take a look.
The Huracan was a welcomed replacement to the Gallardo and it’s 10-year reign, featuring upgrades in both style and substance. Lighter, stiffer, faster and more powerful than the Gallardo, it also offers a wider range of aesthetic customization.
The Spyder features an electrohydraulic soft top that swiftly opens in 17 seconds at up to speeds of 50km, meaning you can keep up with city traffic while operating it. Once down, it’s hard to believe there is a roof stashed in its tight frame at all. Differences from the coupe include two fins that reach from behind the passengers that both look cool and direct extra air into the engine. The rear window can be lowered and there are also removable wind guards to help with wind buffering.
