15 Aug My Destination Story Giveaway From Fairmont Hotels & Resorts

Do you have a preferred holiday spot, a secret hiking trail, or a little-known part of town that’s your absolute favourite place to visit? If so, the fine folks at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts may just have a heck of a prize in store for you thanks to their latest contest! Called the “My Destination Story Giveaway,” to enter this contest you’ll need to record a video showing off what makes your favourite places so great – and do so in a way that is “unique and creative”. So put on your filmmaker’s hat and get brainstorming, because if you want to stand out from the crowd in something like this, you’re definitely going to have to submit a video that’s both compelling and original.

Fairmont will first select the top 42 videos they receive and will name each of those filmmakers as a “Destination GoPro Hero”. Every single one of those 42 winners will receive a slew of a prizes, including:

  • A brand new GoPro video camera
  • A 3-night trip for two to any Fairmont Hotel or Resort in North America, including airfare
  • A VISA gift card loaded with $500

On top of all that, each of the 42 Destination GoPro Heroes will also be eligible to win the Grand Prize. To do so, they’ll once again need to take on the role of a film director (this time using their new GoPro cameras) and record a video of their 3-night trip which tells their story and explains why they love to travel so much. Out of all 42 entrants, the 1 person with the best video will be selected as the Grand Prize winner and will be given even more prizes, such as:

  • A 7-night trip for two to any Fairmont Hotel or Resort in North America, including airfare
  • A $100 credit for food or beverages each day of the trip
  • Free breakfast for two each day of the trip
