13 Oct Salt Spring Island Architecture At Its Finest
Salt Spring Modern Luxury
One of the most unique homes on Salt Spring Island, and perhaps in the country, sits on the side of Mount Thom with views that are hard to beat. This home was designed by Norwegian architect Todd Saunders who is known for his unique designs and this home fits in perfect on Salt Spring Island.
This home was built in 2011 and there’s not much detail as to whom the owners are or what else has gone into this home. The house definitely fits in well with in the rugged west coast terrain but nothing beats that view. Imagine working from or enjoying a meal from this table.
Mr Saunders has created so many unique homes across the globe and I was quite pleased to know something of his was done so close. The two pod homes your see are both the main home and a guest house. Mt Thom is a great place to be on the island as it’s close to the town and close to hiking as well as the ocean.
Since this place was commissioned I don’t imagine we’ll see it on the market any time soon as the owners are quite happy with their one of a kind home. To learn more about Todd’s work you can visit his website online to view his portfolio http://www.saunders.no/.
