Range Rover’s SV Bespoke personalisation team has taken inspiration from Whistler to design the recent Arete Edition with a total of eight being made with a sticker price of $418,000. It also marks the first special edition from the British marque made for the Canadian market. the Arete Edition originally debuted last year at Range Rover House in Whistler. Then it made a second tour-of-duty in January with a pop-up at Land Rover Vancouver and again at Range Rover House Whistler.
Like Whistler, the design and decor of the Arete Edition is the pinnacle of alpine luxury. The Special Effect Gloss blue exterior shimmers but keeps it subtle, an almost camouflage among the grey and blue hues of our West Coast winter atmosphere.
It sits on 23‑inch triple‑finish Diamond Turned Dark Grey Gloss forged alloy wheels connected to a mild-hybrid 606-horsepower twin-turbo 4.4L V8 that will rocket you up and down the Sea-to-Sky. With full-time all-wheel-drive and Range Rover’s Terrain Response, it’ll tackle anything Whistler’s weather can throw at it. And with rear-wheel-steering, you’ll also be able to tackle parallel parking in Yaletown despite it’s long wheelbase.
Hop in and find yourself within a luxury chalet on wheels, featuring a electrically deployable Club Table and integrated fridge to enjoy some enroute canapes and champagne. The interior takes after the aesthetic of the coastal mountain range – Draped in Liberty Blue semi-aniline leather with ebony textile accents by Kvadrat and Natural Dark Linear Wenge wood with a Mosaic Metal inlay. And to get extra comfy, they’ve included matching leather and Kvadrat throw pillows.
