Kaori Yacht Visits Victoria

I was taking a stroll in the inner harbour the other day and it wasn’t hard to see two very large mast’s reaching high into the sky. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing a few amazing superyacht’s here in Victoria but this was the first sailing vessel of this size I’ve seen here. This beautiful boat has made its way around the world and I hope the owners are enjoying our great city and all it has to offer.

This superyacht came to life all the way back in 1991 and was built by Palmer Johnson Yachts under the name Mandalay. It was last refitted in 2009 by Marine Group Boat Works and has been enjoying the sea life under its new owners. This yacht, as far as I could tell, is not for charter so the mystery owners have kept a tight lid on who they are. I did however quickly talk with one of the crew who seemed to hold a New Zealand accent and looked to be enjoying his job.

Kaori offers accommodation for up to six guests in three stunning suits with one owner cabin, two twin cabins. Kaori is also capable of handling up to five crew members onboard in comfort which is needed when you’re spending weeks upon weeks cruising the high seas.

Spot a yacht and want it on the site? Let me know!
