18 Apr Seawest Lounge Aboard BC Ferries
Since my marketing company is located in Vancouver and I’m in Victoria I’m often travelling back and forth and while I fly with Harbour Air sometimes, I prefer BC Ferries. I know a lot of people that tire quickly of the constant ferry rides, but I’m one of those that still gets excited despite being on one 100+ times. I think too many people take this hour and forty five minute trip for granted as it offers incredible scenery time after time…and even the odd whale sighting.
I prefer to get some work done on my way and the Seawest Lounge offers a great place to do just that while getting the best seats in the house. It costs just $12 CDN for entry and it gets you not only either a table to work on but an array of delicious snacks, coffees and teas. You can also take a comfortable chair by the floor to ceiling windows and watch the world go by.
I also love this lounge as you won’t find screaming children here, nor will you have a dozen businessmen yapping away on their bluetooth headsets. The only downside, and I imagine it won’t be for long, is that the WiFi aboard the vessels is absolute shit. Make sure you have your phone ready to tether if you plan on getting any serious work done.
